Propter Amorem Legendi, translating from Latin to “for the love of reading”, is a company that binds stories that are under the public domain, or are not copyrighted, and rebinds already printed copies that either are falling apart, or that could use an aesthetic facelift. As a new company, I’ve created an e-commerce website complete with a detailed ordering page, basic stationary like business cards and thank you notes, and a process-of-binding photoset for informational use.
This project is born from my own very real love of reading. In recent years I’ve picked up binding as a hobby, including binding fanfiction and rebinding books whose covers are not up to mine or my friends’ artistic standards. It’s a legal grey area, so there are no companies that offer the service. I wanted to imagine what it might look like if one did, with genuine heart and care behind the process and the people.

Thought and consideration that went into the website (which is under construction cause I still dont like it)
